Study of concrete with ASIC

The University of Minho team is developing and characterizing concrete with the incorporation of aggregates from the national steel industry (ASIC), based on criteria, requirements and specifications defined for its application at the structural level. With the objective of obtaining a resistance class C30/37, in accordance with EN1992:2010, it was possible to develop compositions with levels of ASIC incorporation in the order of 70%, replacing commonly used natural aggregates and a slump class S2.
